Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC) Joins Mortgage Bankers Association of Tampa Bay

A leader in the post-closing mortgage industry, the Palm Harbor, Fla.-based company will take an active role in the MBA of Tampa Bay local chapter, an organization that shares its goals and objectives.

(Palm Harbor, Fla.) – Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC) is serious about its reputation as a leading service provider to the mortgage and financial industry. To further enhance its commitment to the industry, the company has joined the Mortgage Bankers Association of Tampa Bay. NTC is looking forward to taking an active role in the MBA of Tampa Bay because the association provides a gathering place for the sharing of ideas, acts as the industry’s voice on legislative and regulatory issues, and develops open and fair standards and practices for the industry.

“The MBA reflects the goals and objectives that NTC believes in, so it is a natural fit to join the association’s Tampa Bay chapter in order to contribute and make a positive influence locally,” said NTC CEO John Hillman. “We are committed to being an asset in the communities that we serve, especially since we are in an industry that impacts people who are striving to achieve and maintain the American dream of owning a home. Being part of the MBA’s local chapter helps with this mission.”

Headquartered in Washington D.C., the Mortgage Bankers Association is the national association that represents the real estate finance industry. The MBA is focused on playing a role in ensuring the strength of the nation’s residential and commercial real estate markets, expanding homeownership, extending access to affordable housing to all Americans, and supporting financial literacy efforts. NTC has been a member of the national association since 1995. The company joined the Tampa Bay chapter to enhance its commitment to the region where it is located.

Based in Palm Harbor, Fla. and founded in 1991, NTC is a privately-owned firm that processes documents for the residential mortgage servicing industry. The company’ clients include eight of the 10 largest residential mortgage servicers in the country. It is the largest provider in its field of services, yet it is still a privately owned and managed business. As a large Palm Harbor company with nearly 300 local employees (a number that grows daily), NTC operates a single service center in Palm Harbor.

While serving clients on a national basis, NTC recently hired a Community Relations Director, Janice Rush, whose main responsibility is to forge local community relations in Tampa Bay on behalf of NTC and help the area become a better place to work and live. NTC is involved in community events year-round, including blood drives, toy drives and theRelay for Life of Palm Harbor.

Among NTC’s services are processing and submitting mortgage-related documents for recording in county recording jurisdictions nationwide, most often for loans that have been paid in full. NTC also performs land records research to locate information and documents for its mortgage lending and servicing clients.

Most documents that NTC processes for mortgage servicers are lien release documents that clear paid in full mortgages from land records when borrowers pay off their mortgage, refinance their home or sell their home.
