Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC) Collects Stocked Lunch Bags For Palm Harbor Food Pantry’s Summer Program

Many children who qualify for free and discounted lunch programs in Palm Harbor during the school year are hungry during the summer months when school is not in session, so NTC is contributing to a drive to make sure these children do not go without.

(Palm Harbor, Fla.,) – Team members at Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC) are in the midst of food drive to support Palm Harbor Food Pantry’s Summer Program. The program is part of F.E.A.S.T. (Food Emergency and Services Team) and benefits local schoolchildren, low-income seniors, and the unemployed.

During the summer months when school is not in session, many children who receive free lunch programs during the school year need a place to turn for a meal. According to F.E.A.S.T., a significant number of the 6,800 Palm Harbor area children who rely on the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program would be left hungry if their families could not turn to F.E.A.S.T., which is a north Pinellas County food pantry.

Nationwide Title Clearing heard about this program and since the company has nearly 300 local employees they decided to conduct a drive at its offices to support this cause. NTC employees are helping by donating brown lunch bags stocked with non-perishable food items to the pantry. Filled bags containing non-perishable food items that appeal to children and teen-agers are being collected at NTC through July 12. The company is donating the bags to the Palm Harbor Food Pantry on June 29 and July 13. NTC employees are also assisting by making $10 donations to F.E.A.S.T.

Located in Palm Harbor, NTC is a privately-owned leading service provider to the mortgage and financial industry that performs research services and processes documents for the residential mortgage servicing industry. NTC has long been dedicated to helping the community through events like blood drives, toy drives and the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Palm Harbor.

Operated by one part-time employee and 34 volunteers, F.E.A.S.T. is a 501C3, non-profit food pantry that has been serving Palm Harbor for 28 years. Solely funded by 14 local churches, civic organizations, local schools and businesses, the organization receives no government assistance.

F.E.A.S.T provides supplemental food to 750 low-income seniors, people on disability and fixed incomes, the unemployed and children.

“Many of our employees live here as well as work here in Palm Harbor and have children who attend Palm Harbor schools,” said John Hillman, who is CEO of NTC. “No child should go hungry at any time of the year, and we believe the food pantry’s summer program is an extremely important service that we are proud to be involved with.”
