This July we are hooking you up with some of our favorite videos, articles and sites.

Where the Hell is Matt? 2012

A few issues back we told you about Dancer Matt, who somehow generates incredible good will with his dancing routine that he had taken around the world. We love Matt and did not know where he was traveling until now. It looks like he has taken some dance lessons.

Not Just Another Russian Flash Mob

I don’t know about you but I love, love flash mobs – must be my days in college as a line dancer. Even though it is planned, there is spontaneity to it especially when it comes to the crowd scenes. I love the expressions on people’s faces. There is much joy to be had. Here we have dancing in Moscow for a wedding but there is more to it than that. This flash mob is huge with what looks like hundreds of participants dancing on a Moscow street. The song is Irving Berlin’s “Puttin’ On The Ritz”, which was satirically written in 1929 and intended to parody the less well-off dressing-up ‘to the nines’.  You’ve got a Russian Flash mob dancing to a song written by a Russian-American Jewish Composer, originally observing the working class trying to emulate the rich. Gotta love it. I’d be right there with them dancin’.
