CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. – If you are planning to eat out this week, head over to the beach for the Third Annual Clearwater Beach Restaurant Week.
During the week of May 13-19, 2012, you can enjoy delicious food from fine restaurants at a fixed price and help a good cause. More than 25 restaurants are offering fixed-price meals from $15-$35.
Part of the money raised is going to non-profit organizations, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce.
The week-long dining event was started three years ago by Fran Bartlett, the owner of The Lobster Pot. She wanted to do something to boost local restaurant business during a typically slow period of the year.
Diners visiting the participating restaurants will also have a chance to win a Dream Beach Getaway. Diners will be given a passport to have stamped at each restaurant. Once you get four stamps you are eligible for the getaway.
