Cyber Attacks on A Massive Scale
JoTo PR Client, Spohn was featured in Bloomberg’s coverage of the massive security break at Equifax in an article titled, Equifax says cyberattack may have hit 143 million customers.
Massive news at the beginning of the fall broke when one of the largest data breaches in history happened with Equifax. There has been a lot of finger pointing while trying to get to the bottom of the story.
Through investigation it was found that the criminals took advantage of the data through the U.S website application. Spohn’s senior consultant, Tim Crosby, commented on the issues, “It’s a huge deal… you would expect these guys to have compartmentalized this data far enough away from a web server. That there would not be any to directly access it.”
