Team members at Nationwide Title Clearing Inc. are taking part in a food drive to support the Palm Harbor Food Pantry’s summer program. The program is part of F.E.A.S.T. (Food Emergency and Services Team) and benefits local schoolchildren, low-income seniors and the unemployed.
According to F.E.A.S.T., a significant number of the 6,800 Palm Harbor area children who rely on the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program would go hungry during the summer if supplemental food was not available.
About 300 local NTC employees decided to conduct an internal drive to support this cause and are donating brown lunch bags stocked with nonperishable food items to the pantry.
Through July 12, filled bags containing nonperishable food items that appeal to children and teenagers are being collected at NTC to be donated to the Palm Harbor Food Pantry July 13. NTC employees are also assisting by making $10 donations to F.E.A.S.T.
“No child should go hungry at any time of the year, and we believe the food pantry’s summer program is an extremely important service that we are proud to be involved with,” said John Hillman, chief executive officer of NTC.
Located in Palm Harbor, NTC performs research services and processes documents for the residential mortgage servicing industry.
